Let me put this into perspective.
Most TCG league had 0 interest in hosting VG events so far.
This was compensated by individual professors hosting VG events outside of leagues.
These Professor might no longer do this.
You VG scene depends on local leagues adopting VG …🧵

Confirmed in our League email that the new #PlayPokemon season (24/25) does indeed start on July 1st! Interesting one for my VG friends, local events are now "Challenges" and "Cups" just like with TCG and GO. Curious if they'll change anything else about locals?

@BillaVGC I personally dont think theres that much of a difference. I dont really think changing the deciding factor from luck to internet speed/button pressing which has nothing to do with the game is any more fair than luck of the draw

Regarding this queue,
Assuming this is true FCFS, it is better than previous registration for following reasons.
In VG we didn’t have events selling out instantly so people didn’t get to experience the issue with the old system. Ask your TCG friends. 1/x twitter.com/tapukimo/statu…

If you could buff any Pokémon for VGC, what would it be and how would you change it?
I’d make Nidoking bulky. Nidoking is such a cool mon design wise, a sheer force slow bulky Pokémon would be a good meta addition. Yet this buff sand reptile is frailer than a literal mushroom 😭
