@Not3atef_ The labour market is saturated with unemployable graduates because Tony Blair’s plan was to send everyone to uni and then get EU migrants to freely enter in and out of the country to do manual tasks for us. We’re now not in the EU and there are not that many graduate jobs anymore

@Not3atef_ It’s mostly due to a poor long term labour and industrial strategy rather than people being unambitious or lazy

@Not3atef_ @Nad_Vadva There are 900,000 graduate job seekers for 100,000 graduate vacancies. It can't be explained away as just a lack of ambition.

@Nad_Vadva I am aware and i agree but that’s partly down to lack of ambition too, most people want to do simple jobs that everyone else can do

Again sounding like an inconsiderate right winger but the social welfare system kinda reflects a recent trend of “excessive softness” evident in every aspect of the society, people are looking for different things to use as a label to justify their lack of ambition/ laziness

It sounds like a horrible right wing thing to say but the benefits/social welfare system in the uk needs to be looked into seriously if this country wants to go forward, highly unlikely a politician/party would seriously get near to that because it means losing massive votes
