I’ve been thinking about why competitive Marvel Rivals feels frustrating lately. Not trying to hate — I actually want the game to last. Here’s what I’ve noticed from playing + what I see people talk about a lot. 🧵

I know the statistics say triple strat wins less than 2-2-2 but it’s about the fact that it’s genuinely zero fun and very exhausting to against. Panther got gutted back in season 3/4 for being horrible to play versus, so why should triple strat not get the same treatment?

"Our goal is for each hero to have its own niche" in the system. After season 2 and 3 we heard feedback that repetitiveness was a problem and starting with season 5 we will start buffing heroes periodically. This created problems and we will address in season 7.

Marvel Rivals are aware of balance changes from S5 periodically buffing heroes, they will be addressed in future seasons.

When we talk abt characters with no skill idk how ppl let namor slide. I get his value and skill ceiling can be kinda high but bro.

This behavior not only undermines the integrity of our game but also tarnishes the experience for honest players who are committed to fair competition. In light of this, we want to make our position clear: We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of malicious disruption. To combat this issue, we are implementing a specialized investigation protocol focused on identifying and addressing negative gameplay linked to these external bounties. Accounts found to be violating our policies will face serious repercussions, including, but not limited to, permanent bans. We strongly advise players against jeopardizing their valuable accounts and hard-earned progress for the sake of temporary incentives. Moreover, to reinforce the principles of fair competition, we have enhanced our regulations regarding negative gameplay. @MarvelRivals Thank you I played last week and out of 6 games 2 games people left for no reason and we were forced to forfeit and I haven’t played ranked since. it’s about time we get them gone

@MarvelRivals People don’t realize how aggravating it is trying to rank up and people just start throwing. You literally lose the will to keep trying after constant throwers every other match.
