Exactly this. When I questioned the McCrorie or decking signings I was told it was fine because Walter Smith signed Kirk Broadfoot or some shit. Last night must surely have been a penny drop moment for folk who were defending this transfer window.

I remember people trying to give me a hard time on here for calling out the McCrorie signing. So many were saying it’s a “Walter Smith signing” Buying shite players because they support the club or know the league isn’t going to bring us success. We have 4 weeks until the window closes. The thing with Cavanagh is he only does the right thing when we literally force him to. We had to hound Martin, Stewart and Thelwell out of the club. He isn’t going to bin Purdy unless we raise enough noise where he has no choice. That noise needs to start against Hibs.

Apart from the obvious fact he’s a Celtic fan, i wouldn’t actually be against signing McKenna. He was good when he was in the SPL before and time spent abroad winning a title will have done him no harm. He’d be a big upgrade on Souttar at least.
