Two days of you always flash by in a blur. I’ve come to the realization that I’m not addicted to you. I’m addicted to how I’ve evolved every single time I’ve been to your show 🦋. I always take mental notes on my experience and apply it to the next show. Cowboys day 1 and 2 were incredible. I did both days completely sober and alone. I always trust myself to make friends along the way which I always do. I clocked over 40,000 steps dancing these past few days.
Things I’ve learnt attending your events:
1. If it’s a two day festival I always wear my chaos outfit first. Heels, edgy, and Iconic.
2. Day 1 - I always I walk around and take my time exploring the venue. I clock where the washrooms are. I get my pictures in and make new friends along the way. Then I find a good spot to dance. Day 1 I don’t fixate on you. This is a me day.
3. Day 2 - This is my comfort day. After clocking 19,000 steps dancing, comfortable shoes is a non-negotiable. I’ve learnt this the hard way. It’s not worth putting myself in pain just for an outfit when my main priority is always to dance. When you’re balls deep into the crowd nobody gives a shit what your shoes look like.
4. Day 2- I give it my all. I’m always the first in and the last out. The first one to have the audacity to show up alone, dance alone, and start the party. That power in itself alone is intoxicating. There is absolutely no substance in the world that can substitute that kind of power.
5. I want all women to feel comfortable to live this way. I know this is my purpose to live by this example. I want Men to feel comfortable doing this too but I think society has put a specific stereotype on women being alone. Society has also made us believe that we must drink or do drugs to have a good time. I’m here to prove that’s not true.
6. I seek nothing from you. My night doesn’t revolve around you. If you notice me you notice me. If you remember me great. I’ve been following you around with the same flag for years. There was a point in my life where things aligned and I met you. I kept longing for that to happen again. I did everything I possibly could to have it happen again but it just started draining absolutely everything in me.
7. There will be a point in time where I’m not at the front rail with the microphone anymore and it won’t be because I gave up on you. It will be because I started having more faith in myself.
Thanks for being my favorite artist. You inspire me more than anyone.
