I’m of the belief that Mario looks best when he’s taking heavy influence from those original Kotabe artworks and Movie Mario really doesn’t do it for me. He’s not horrible he’s just far from his best design and he feels pretty bland to me.

Like yeah. That’s Mario. It’s not exactly an ideal design for the character though. He definitely has that Illumination look. Not a fan lol. And he looks even more jarring when he opens his mouth for some reason.
