@CaroleBristol @PaulEmbery Interesting. I ran a pub in Whitechapel throughout the 80s, so it may have been earlier as I can't remember this at any of the locals there. There was a pub that had strippers in Shoreditch, not frequented by many East Enders though. Most of them were pleased when it shut down.

@PaulEmbery Drag has been around for ages. It used to be part of the working class pub scene all over London long before I was born and I am a lot older than you. Pubs used to have drag acts regularly in the East End when I was young, and also strippers if you wanted sexual exhibitionism.

I'm old enough to remember when Pride was all about defending gay people from oppression, prejudice and abuse. Now it seems to be a cross between celebrating extreme sexual exhibitionism and promoting men who dress up as women. The campaign is utterly corrupted.

The Lincoln MP, McCartney, is like Gullis and 30p Lee, he will probably lose his seat at the next election and good riddance.

This is absolutely appalling - it's hard enough to get younger people out to vote but now, thanks to the right wing myth of voter fraud - many young people will effectively be disenfranchised. Revolting.

@Mjausson @MosquitoCapital No it definitely doesn't. Another problem is that some of these teams were together for years, together 9-10 hours a day, you know them, like family almost. then suddenly loads of them gone. I would find that difficult, even without the scary work thing.

@roversfour @Otto_English I have grandchildren I voted Remain. But the staff, who I knew really well, believed this and other local homes had voted Leave because of their war time experiences, as my mother had said. Some of these staff were from the EU, it shocked and upset them, as it did me.
