@ChampIAN_33 We played zone 78% of defensive plays last year under Staley. You don’t need a bonafide, shut down CB1 when you play zone. We needed Shon because DA played man. I feel like a Delane is a luxury pick that we don’t need to force at 8. The need at STAR is far worse.

This defense doesn’t ask a ton out of their outside corners most of the time. Though if they drafted him im sure they’d have a plan

My issue with drafting Delane is that CBs in this scheme don’t affect the defense as much as a pass rusher or slot/safety does. A lot of soft zone, rarely press coverage. But he is a good player. I just think in DA’s scheme he would be more of a need then he would be rn
