Anyone who thinks marathons servers won’t be down in less than 2 years are delusional. This game is like 3 levels of niche and is competing with arc raiders which just simply looks like a much better game. Shit is extremely half baked and people will get bored of it very quickly just because of the nature of an extraction shooter. I agree this game was one of the dumbest developments by a studio in a long time. D3 would’ve been an easy cash grab and instead they gambled on some niche ass game the same year arc raiders came out 😭 sucks to see bungie go out like this but I don’t know a soul outside of the d2 community (and paid streamers) who’ve show any interest in the game.

I hate to say this but today could have been the biggest day ever for Bungie. They could have working for 6 years on Destiny 3 and today it finally launched. Destiny 3 launching today would easily hit over a million players on Steam. And more than 3 million on all platforms. New cars for everyone in the C-Suite type shi but instead we got 140k Marathon with suspicions of layoffs coming soon. This may go down as the single worst decision in gaming history. Imagine fumbling a multi billion dollar bag
