@NotSoAngryScout

Over x years as scout in NFL and as a coach. Living rent free in heads of those bad apples in our league. You might speak to me at events and not know!

@DrewBoylhart Amen. I feel bad for them. De Smith out there spending more time banging a lawyer in office than doing the work and now Tretter. I rarely take the side of the players because they sabotage themselves. Owners will have field day on Tretter.

@NotSoAngryScout Until they treat the retired players with more respect and benefits, this union will be like all the rest. Started for better benefits and truly only interested in more salary money for the existing players. Translation: A Scam.

That is the point James. The NFLPA doesn’t care about their players or anyone who pays them dues. The players deserve what they get. The main reason I’m not big on unions is they have corrupt leadership often. If done right they are great for workers but they don’t at NFLPA.

The same guy that had no interest in being the Executive Director in July of 2025! Yea congratulations @NFL yall will get everything yall want in the new CBA.

This is crazy. A GM could trade so far out that if he is fired in a year or two the next GM could be handicapped for 3-4 years. I don’t like changing this. 5 years is too far down the road.
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate

The #Browns have submitted a rule proposal to allow draft selections to be traded up to five seasons in the future.

No shock. Hope the media has their eyes close on the union because I expect corruption and incompetence. There is a lot of infidelity and sexual immorality going on at the union. A lot of political hires of people who are inept and it won’t end with JC.
ProFootballTalk@ProFootballTalk

When Lloyd Howell became the NFLPA executive director in 2023, Howell and NFLPA president JC Tretter held a press conference. With Tretter now becoming the new NFLPA executive director, there will be no press conference. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@ouwilkins @NFLAgents_net I don’t think there should be an imposed limit by NCAA but I don’t think players should pay more. Sadly, if agents are really good they are worth 10% but most aren’t. It’s a small number who are. Players should draw a line and pay max of 5% with NIL. They been getting screwed.

@NFLAgents_net @NotSoAngryScout Technically, he suggested what they should be willing to pay. He never proposed a limit on what someone should charge. For the record, I am opposed to salary caps. You should get what you’re worth. I just think he’s saying these NIL “agents” aren’t worth more than 5%.

College players stop paying your NIL agents more than 5%!!!! They aren’t paying for your training or a stipend like NFLPA agents do. You shouldn’t be paying a NIL agent more than 5% at all. Any NIL agent charging 10% or more is stealing from you!!!

@NotSoAngryScout Marketing deals can net an agent 10%-20% & those are for a player’s NIL…just saying

Personally, a school should never retire a number. They should honor the jersey. However, I don’t blame Matt here. Once you retire it you either leave it or un-retire all other numbers. He has right to protect it since it was retired. Schools should honor a jersey instead though.
Matt Leinart@MattLeinartQB

Coach Riley hasn’t asked me if a recruit can wear my number so we can settle that right now. I’ve been asked in the past before and have said the same thing every time. This isn’t a big deal! Fight On ✌️

Right now 3 states have advantage with no state tax and the rest should follow to even the odds.

CBA would help big time. They need to unionize. Also, every state should get rid of state income taxes. We pay enough and not fair to exempt athletes from state taxes and not exempt at least anyone making under 250k.
Mit Winter@WinterSportsLaw

Many claim college athletes don’t want to or would never choose to unionize, either because they don’t want to be employees or b/c the current system is good for them financially. But as covered here, a CBA could address many important topics beyond $. frontofficesports.com/college-athlet…

@Pat_CurranMedia None should be. They argue it’s because the money is less but depends on played and they don’t have near the same expenses. If the agent is not certified they should not mess with the agent anyway!

@AgentGrady_ There are other reasonings but my point is draft eligible players have way more overhead than the NIL players have. It costs an agent nothing but trip to sign them.

This is the realest statement ever, what are you doing paying someone 10% you can't even help you get to the NFL. Most of the best NFL PA agents take three or 6% of NIL deals and try to build a relationship with you to keep you for the NFL

@iRepCoaches School is paying NIL. They shouldn’t pay fee. Maybe school should charge a platform fee if you argue that. Most people charge a fee if you use their platform to make money. 5% is plenty. NFL agents only get 1.5-3% and they pay training and stipend to sign.
