"The water isn't as cold as I thought it would be. Is that why you came out today?"

Soon Tyler is wading into the water, securing the band around his ankle before laying on his board.
He paddles out into the waves.
"Did I miss anything good?"

Tyler turns and jogs up from the beach to his car where it's parked near the road. There he changes and unhooks his board.
