How a Jaipur Man Helped 4,000 Families Stay Cooler Without AC By turning Rooftops into Farms. What began as a simple attempt to cool his own home led Prateek Tiwari to create rooftop farms that reduce heat, cut electricity bills, and provide clean vegetables for over 4,000 families across India. For Prateek Tiwari, this was a problem worth solving. Instead of looking for a more expensive fix, He began growing vegetables on his terrace, using the roof space not just for gardening, but as a natural cooling system. Within weeks, he noticed a clear difference. His home felt cooler, the indoor temperature dropped, and the dependence on air conditioning reduced. Two problems, excessive heat and lack of clean food were solved with one idea. Seeing how effective rooftop farming could be, Prateek left his corporate job and launched Living Greens Organics, a venture focused on making terrace farming easy and accessible for urban households. His team developed a portable rooftop farming system that people could install themselves without construction work or permanent changes to the building. The setup includes leak-proof containers, drip irrigation, drainage systems, seeds, and organic growing inputs. No structural damage. No complicated maintenance The results have been significant. Today, more than 4,000 families across over 25 cities are using rooftop farms through Living Greens Organics. Homes stay cooler, electricity bills are reduced, and families gain access to healthier food grown just a few steps away. Sometimes, the simplest solutions are already right over our heads

Good Lock app is a modular suite developed by Samsung that allows users to extensively customize nearly every aspect of their Galaxy device's user interface, including the lock screen, notification bar, navigation gestures, and multitasking tools. The app is a legitimate, official solution provided directly by Samsung for advanced personalization. Originally limited to the Samsung Galaxy Store in specific regions, the app is now officially available for download via the Google Play Store for many devices running One UI 7 or later.

Delhi roads are burning at 65°C but why do weather apps show just 42°C? The numbers on your weather app tell only half the story. Nand Nagri, a dense residential settlement in East Delhi, has revealed a far more alarming reality The thermal imaging device records over 65°C on an exposed road surface in East Delhi, while the shaded ground nearby registers nearly 20 degrees lower. The stark color contrast illustrates just how dangerous unshaded urban surfaces can be during a heatwave. Hotter surfaces glow red or white on screen; cooler ones appear blue or green. In this case, the tarmac was blazing. Move just a few meters into the shade of a tree, however, the reading dropped to around 40°C. That is a gap of nearly 20 degrees Celsius in the span of a few steps. The difference is not trivial. At 65°C, unprotected skin can suffer thermal burns within seconds. Children who play barefoot on such surfaces are especially vulnerable. Rapid urban expansion has replaced vast stretches of green cover with concrete, asphalt, and glass, all materials that absorb heat during the day and radiate it back at night in what is known as the urban heat island effect. A single tree can reduce the local temperature by nearly 20 degrees Celsius compared to an exposed surface a few steps away. Planting more of them, and protecting those that already exist, is not just an environmental aspiration. In a city cooking at 65°C, it is a public health necessity. P.S: Nand Nagri is a densely populated, vibrant residential and commercial locality in Northeast Delhi. it serves as a central hub for the district. It is highly favored by working professionals and middle-class families for its budget-friendly housing and accessible daily amenities.

Nepal is rolling out a new tourism push aimed directly at Indian content creators and travelers, offering selected participants a sponsored trip across the country. The initiative, announced by the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, is inviting Indian influencers, vloggers and podcasters to apply for a familiarization tour designed to showcase Nepal’s tourism experiences to a wider digital audience. Nepal has long been a favorite among Indian tourists due to its proximity, shared cultural and religious ties, and incredible natural beauty. Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply? To apply, you must be: An Indian national or a content creator currently based in India. Have an active presence on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter). Demonstrate strong audience engagement, professional credibility, and the ability to produce high-quality content. Preference is given to those specializing in travel, spirituality, wellness, food, culture, tourism, lifestyle, and adventure niches. Fluency in English, Hindi, or regional Indian languages is a big plus, as it helps connect with broader audiences across the country. The embassy emphasizes creators who promote responsible tourism. How to Apply: Prepare Your Portfolio: Gather links to your social media profiles, sample work (especially travel-related content), audience analytics (followers, engagement rates), and examples of high-quality videos or posts. Submit via Email: Send your complete application to the email address provided in the official embassy announcement (check the Embassy of Nepal’s official X handle @EONIndia for details and the circular). Selection Process: The embassy will evaluate entries based on creativity, storytelling ability, content quality, audience reach, and overall digital impact. Shortlisted candidates will be notified, and the final itinerary and travel dates will be shared later.

continue to display the older 60-day information. The decision to shorten the length of stay came after cases of foreigners using extended visa-free periods to run illegal businesses, work without permits, or remain in the country for reasons beyond genuine tourism purposes.

We are at the peak of summer and the preparation for making pickles has already started in telugu households. The hot sun provides the perfect conditions for drying mangoes and spices, which are essential to prevent moisture and ensure pickles(Avakaya & magaya) last all year.

If you have someone in your life waiting for that one message from you before they go to bed, you’ve already made it. And if you get a reply back, life feels complete. What more could you possibly need? Baaki sab bekaar.

They say light travels faster than sound, but the speed at which even the most powerful media houses around the world publish or transmit news can’t be compared to how quickly Indians cover the same news and share it on social media, especially on X. Proud to be an Indian.

I avoid visiting relatives if they have a cat or dog in their home. It’s not that I’m afraid of them, but I’m allergic to the smell in houses with pets. Honestly, it smells awful.

I recently came across a post by Raj Shamani inviting American wildlife explorer Paul to his podcast, accompanied by his pet snakes. Just imagine how uncomfortable it must have been for him to host the show with those snakes around. I feel the same when I’m around cats and dogs

If people are so critical of others for spitting the facts, they should also be self-aware enough to reflect on the pointless post's others have to put up with from them.
