The White Sox couldn't do this 6 weeks ago?
Jerry Reinsdorf totally sucks.
Bob Nightengale@BNightengale
The Padres are paying starter Lucas Giolito just a base salary of $3 million, that will be pro-rated, with incentives for another $5 million. @JonHeyman on it.

@Tonysmarkettips What spoke the loudest was what he didn't say. He did not deny the rumors or state in any way that he is NOT having an inappropriate relationship with Russini.
English

Mike Vrabel finally addressed the media today. He thanked the media for their patience, but he did not apologize. Never used the word "sorry" or "apologize." He never mentioned Dianna Russini by name or referenced the incident at all. He did say he's had difficult conversations with those close to him.
It's unclear to me at this point if the media was allowed to ask follow up questions, I will find out.

Here’s Mike Vrabel’s statement
English

@desmondatlantic @benjstrauss @espn I’m sure! The difference is no one cares (except for the wives) what a coach does. As long as he wins.
English

New from me @espn: Inside the fallout of the Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel photos espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…
English

@desmondatlantic @benjstrauss @espn I feel bad for the countless women who do the job with integrity. She makes them all look bad (if in fact she is sleeping with him).
English

@Not_Al_Secord @benjstrauss @espn I would not have fired or made any of them a step down
But for only one person to lose a job is weird
English

@desmondatlantic @benjstrauss @espn That’s all noise. She has a MVP vote and voted for Drake Maye. Was that an unbiased vote if she’s sleeping with Vrabel? That’s the issue.
Don’t get me wrong. Not defending Vrabel. His whole thing is accountability. Let’s see if he holds himself accountable.
English

@Not_Al_Secord @benjstrauss @espn That’s fair
People are not saying that
They are yelling about her morality & journalistic integrity
Silliness
English

@desmondatlantic @benjstrauss @espn That’s up to his boss Bob Kraft.
But no his job is NOT to be fair to all reporters. His job is to win football games.
English

@Not_Al_Secord @benjstrauss @espn He was also sleeping with her
His job is not to be impartial to reporters reporting on his team?
So he can fuck whomever he wants as long as he wins games.
English

@desmondatlantic @benjstrauss @espn Because she’s a journalist. Her job is to report on the NFL without bias. Hard not to be biased if she’s sleeping with a coach.
His job is to win football games.
English

@benjstrauss @espn Why does she lose her job for fucking a grown adult & he doesn’t?
English

@awfulannouncing While it’s good news let’s not overstate it. NBA put WAY more games on broadcast TV this year. Combine that with new Nielsen measurement data and an increase is not a surprise. League still has a HUGE local media crisis on its hands.
English

NBA regular-season viewership soared in spite of all the voices thinking the league is in serious trouble.

@SHistorians And they should do it. And then take all of those tickets and put them into the lottery so more people can actually go.
English

Right or wrong, the folks who get Masters tickets on an annual basis and who sell them are in a corner.
The Masters has hundreds of millions of dollars of resources. They could easily employ folks to buy tickets off the street and/or via the online ticket market and cancel those season ticket holders.
If they truly want to end the re-sale market, it would take a couple years but they could destroy the secondary market.
Bill Krackomberger@BillKrackman
Augusta National can take your Masters badges back anytime and they DO NOT have to give a reason. It is considered a privilege to have a badge/ticket. They have cracked down big time on secondary sales.
English

@OctopusIllusion @RedditCFB Had nothing to do with streaming. It was a network equipment failure. NBC or ESPN could have the same issue happen to them. It happens.
English

@Not_Al_Secord @RedditCFB I can’t remember the last time my cable did this during a game
English

When Amazon buys rights to your favorite conference’s games, just remember that they paid $20B for NBA broadcast rights and this is what they aired in the final minute of a single possession overtime postseason game.
Sports TV News & Updates@TVSportsUpdates
Prime Video's broadcast went off the air for nearly two full minutes during overtime in Heat-Hornets.
English

@jaycaspiankang Your bar sucks. It’s not that hard for them to figure out how to get the streaming games. They are being lazy and cheap.
English

@coachzblair10 The bigger issue is that kid looks like he’s 15 or 16.
English

Here we go again. Another over the top celebration at 12u. If you think this is good for baseball, you are the problem.
Bat almost hits him in the face after the spike, then all the "look at me" antics, and you gotta love the cameraman on the field running with the kid.
What a joke. It's all a show...🤦🏼♂️
English

@KevBounce Good for you man. Keep going. One day at a time.
English

@DanWolken CBS deserves the criticism. Their coverage on 18 was not up to their standards and I hope they would be the first to admit it.
English

@JoeNicely Have to agree. We’ve gone downhill from the great CBS line-up of:
18: Nantz/Faldo
17: Oosty
16: Vern
15: Kostis
14: Macatee
13: Feherety
11/12: Clampett (then IBF)
English

@bettygeezy @1ssve Me too! But it’s not enough. Still need Prime to round out the sports.
