Your certificate Opens the Door. Your Skills Decide Whether You Stay.
Imagine two young graduates walking into the same firm on their first day as probationers. Both hold the same credentials, and both are placed on the same six-month probation. On paper, one looks far superior to the other.
Graduate A graduated with a glittering First Class and was called to the Bar. Everyone expected great things. Yet during probation, he was largely ineffective. He struggled to draft simple processes, avoided filing court documents, and lacked the confidence to stand in court. He showed up daily, but delivered almost no value. When the six months ended, the firm thanked him and quietly let him go.
Graduate B had no First Class, just a solid Second Class. But from day one, he worked. He filed processes, drafted letters and affidavits, organised case files, and made the senior lawyers’ lives easier. He didn’t know everything, but he consistently delivered. At the end of probation, his confirmation letter was ready before he even asked.
The firm did not choose based on who had the better certificate. They chose based on who brought real value. This is the uncomfortable truth every fresh graduate, corps member, must face: YOUR FIRST CLASS MAY GET YOU THE INTERVIEW AND EVEN THE JOB OFFER, BUT IT WILL NOT KEEP YOU IN THE SEAT.
Employers are not impressed by academic excellence alone. They are impressed by competence, initiative, and results. Clients don’t pay for your CGPA , they pay for timely, reliable, and professional delivery.
So stop hiding behind your flawless grades. Stop waiting for employment before you learn how to actually practise. Start building real skills, do the work even when no one is paying you yet, because the market does not celebrate First Class graduates who cannot deliver. It rewards those who solve problems, regardless of their grades.

The greatest thing that can ever happen to any man is to take God seriously. God does not just reveal Himself to just anyone. There are bloodlines where obstacles are strategically placed, where no one is allowed to complete a building project. Some families are bound by limitations so severe that no member has ever been able to travel outside the country.
Why do you think your parents took God seriously and acted as intermediaries on your behalf when you were younger? They understood the spiritual warfare surrounding your lineage. Now you are older, and that mantle has been passed down to you. The question is: will you allow the fortress your parents labored to build to crumble through your negligence and indifference toward the things of God?

Indeed the goat that is in a hurry to grow horns will meet the knife early 🙏

Marriage is not a race to be won early; it's a commitment to be carried wisely. Readiness matters more than age. 💯

Please I will love to know how I will die rather than when I will die because knowing when I die can lead to my death in 100 folds before the appointed time it self 💔🥹

If you are to choose between knowing the day you will die and knowing how you will die which one will you choose?? @tiphe_j @Tony_Aladetuyi
