I'm not saying its right but human nature to put your own needs above others. Especially when the companies you're supporting are disrespecting you.
It's possible to go back to times prior to 2016 so long as companies are willing to put the effort.

@SekaiUtu You guys live in a homogeneous country. While the west is a melting pot of cultures. So it's easy for us to adapt to any other culture.
Despite that I met a few Japanese people during my travels to Saudi Arabia and they were very kind and polite.
So I don't completely agree.

@MugenLord True as that may be, the data for piracy says otherwise. Piracy nearly died before 2016 because it was easier to pay streaming platform than use a pirated site.
Now, its flipped, it's easier to pirate than use streaming platforms, so people have returned to pirating.

Wow, this is a good one. You already know my take on piracy. It's none of my business whether or not you pirate, but don't try to use mental gymnastics to justify stealing.
I grew up back when people were pirating games and burning them on disc. No one and I mean no one said they were pirating games due to "Not having access" or whatever other bullshit.
People wanted to play a game without paying for it and bragged about it back in the day. Especially that one guy in school who always showed off his collection of games burned into discs in a binder.

So what can companies do?
They can make an effort to reduce piracy by making there content more deadily available.
Many people want to buy so at the end of the day, they'll profit.

For example, the translation of Dragon Ball into English by VIZ has been met with lots of criticism yet they refuse to fix it.
So fans fixed it themselves and offer it for free.
