@StrawTide @DeTocqueville14 Would you want to be treated the way you treat animals? If not, why treat animals badly?

@NothingIsArt2 @DeTocqueville14 ive shot them myself self, I also duck hunt. so

Because I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain just so I could eat broccoli

I don't really understand why people don't want to go vegan.
English

@StrawTide @DeTocqueville14 The slaughter process can be very brutal for pigs that are not factory farmed. See for example gas chamber footage online, that is the common method.
English

@NothingIsArt2 @DeTocqueville14 I am aware and thats in many places I am lucky enough to be in Eastern TN. Also again lucky enough to have been to some of the farms. Not saying factory meat isn't prevalent, nor am I saying its ethical. I am saying ethical meat isn't cheap. The cost though IMHO is worth it.

@crnvr_invictus @Lily81127145 Yet you were unable to answer the questions…
English

@NothingIsArt2 @Lily81127145 Vegans are insufferable virtue signalers. Like I said I’ve hear and refuted every argument, it falls on deaf ears because you don’t really care about animals. You have as much blood on your hands as I do. The difference is I’m not suffering from nutritional deficiencies.
English

I really don't understand why vegans are constantly trying to make the rest of us go vegan.

@StrawTide @DeTocqueville14 A local butcher will in most cases have factory farmed meat.
English

@NothingIsArt2 @DeTocqueville14 I buy locally. Min wage for real as our great grandparent's had it farm raised bacon, cured smoked locally cut by local butcher 14.99 a pound.
I dont eat very much. but fuck its tastet when I do.
English

@NothingIsArt2 @Lily81127145 Do you think this is the first time I’ve heard your vegan arguments? Plant agriculture is mass animal slaughter. They rot in the field and you want to lecture me because I kill to eat. You’re miserable because your brain is deprived of nutrients. Eat a ribeye.
English

@SuperheroFreak @misandriz there is an irrational bias against plant-based alternatives.

English

@SuperheroFreak @misandriz It seems very likely that a lot of the “grossness” is psychological. You can even see this where people say, “This is one of the best burgers I have ever had,” and then after they find out it was vegan, it suddenly becomes disgusting. I have experienced a similar thing myself, so

@NothingIsArt2 @DeTocqueville14 I support meat that comes from happy pigs. I understand thats 2.5 hours of my shit tier wages.
happy pigs make better bacon, also being raised happy to be eaten is fair reward for being that tastey.
English

@Jsjsjskjskk @winxytopia I often find that plant-based alternatives are cheaper. Rice, pasta, lentils, beans, etc. are very cheap if you want to save money.
English

@NothingIsArt2 @winxytopia Ofcourse but they are not exactly affordable or accesible enough for students living in hostels.
English

i love meat unfortunately
nothing vegetarian can replicate the taste or texture for me

@crnvr_invictus @Lily81127145 wrong here.
I also want to challenge you here, how can slaughter be humane? If kicking a dog is abuse, wouldn’t it be even worse to stick a knife in the dog’s throat?
English

@crnvr_invictus @Lily81127145 Most carnivores say they are, but their actions often tell a different story. 99% of animal products are factory farmed, and I have never met a non-vegan who refused to eat factory-farmed products. 75% say they mostly eat humanely treated animals, so clearly something is

@NothingIsArt2 @misandriz Because plant based alternatives are fucking gross and disgusting.

@misandriz Why support animal cruelty when it is easy to choose plant-based alternatives?
