Following the mess of #DaredevilBornAgain S1, I'll admit...I had little faith in the show's ability to turn things around. Was honestly dreading S2, but WOW does it deliver in a BIG way. After a rocky start, it (mostly) ditches the hangovers from S1 and becomes a focused, urgent, and cathartic examination of the corruption, prejudices, and dehumanization that's created such a violent cultural divide. It challenges comfort at the expense of others; interrogates our beliefs and convictions, asking whether it's possible to grow beyond our impulses; examines revenge, retribution, and grace on a massive scale without losing the intimacy of the characters. MATT'S BACK IN CHURCH GRAPPLING WITH HIS FAITH AGAIN! So much of the DNA from the Netflix run is in this season, with Ep. 5 being a huge standout. I felt so at home, especially in the second half. They really let the devil out with this season. Welcome back, #Daredevil!
