One person in WWE noted that word has spread in the company among some if not many that AEW won’t be on Paramount/Skydance (when their current deal expires) and question if they can get a viable deal elsewhere. “One person there noted that people at the highest levels are talking like AEW won’t get another deal, but those kind of stories spread previously at the last negotiations, not that they wouldn’t get a deal, but that their deal would be at the same level or perhaps a lower level than the prior deal and instead they had a 2.3x increase.” - Dave Meltzer (@WONF4W)

#AEWDynamite scored its lowest audience since January for last Wednesday's episode. The show faced strong competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs, which were both up slightly from the week before. Dynamite averaged 585K viewers (⬇️1% from last week) with a 0.10 P18-49 rating (unchanged), per Programming Insider. As always, these numbers do not include the HBO Max simulcast. It is the third week in a row that Dynamite has averaged under 600K viewers. Since Nielsen apparently changed their ratings methodology in late April, only one episode has cracked the 600K mark. Dynamite ranked 7th for the night on cable in primetime in the 18-49 demo, tied with The Valley on Bravo. Year-over-year, Dynamite was down 14% in total viewers, while the P18-49 rating was down 41%. Last year's numbers were ranked using the old Nielsen "panel-only" system, which was more favorable for wrestling shows.

Fun Fact: This game specifically there was a protest due to bad ownership, yes. That protest worked and McCourt sold the team the following year. Fans started to come back after pushing out that weak ass owner, and since 2013 Dodgers have been ranked #1 in fan attendance. 13 seasons straight & going for the 14th season this year 🤞🏽
