My hot take is Kentucky will be better this season than they were this past season. J think a lot of you all are going to regret a lot of things you said.

@LiveBlue06 The Stokes bag was just that. A stokes bag. That was money from private donors who were willing to pay for an elite prospect. That money was not part of the teams budget outside of Stokes. We likely only have around 4 million left to fill out the roster.

He short 33% from 3, 86% FT, averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds in 28mpg. Andrew Carr was his floor, so I think it’s definitely a hit as of now

I am a big believer that you don’t judge the Portal process until it’s over. But Pope has to upgrade the roster significantly in the next couple of weeks

@KySportsRadio We are the only program getting them on campus, to the finish line and can’t close it and get it done. It’s slow moving, stalled out and not efficient. It’s a reflection of JMI, Pope, GM, and all of it starts at the top with @UKMitchBarnhart.

@SeanPaulCBB Ignorance. Dude if you want attention from the fan base just ask for it. 3 major injuries to 3 point guards in two seasons. If these guys are good, they should be able to learn to play off ball. Now if one gets hurt, we have a top notch backup plan. Great work Pope!

Here’s the issue: Almost feels like a panic move to get both Alex Wilkins AND Zoom Diallo. I can promise you, Diallo isn’t going there to play off the ball. He’s not very effective without the ball in general. But if Wilkins isn’t handling the ball, it greatly limits what he’s good at. To me, some of the early portal whiffs led to Kentucky just going in on talent and not worrying about fit, which is a pretty shaky formula.

@Durty_Burty @ryanhammer09 Agreed. He’s got a great complementary game on offense. If he gets THE guy money, say around 5.5 mil+, it’ll take a team with very deep pockets, cause they’ll still need a PG and complementary guys who can facilitate and be offensive threats to hang that banner.
