@driverfarms1 @essexwindyfarm @NovaCropControl I have been told of someone who used the post office to send samples and they got there quickly and trouble free. Apparently there is some paperwork you can download from their website. Don't know any more detail than that

A plea to the nations farmers: Please delay your routine soil sampling until the autumn. The labs are overwhelmed, causing unworkable delays in seasonally urgent tissue testing.

@RBoldan @georgiewildbray @LinesMartin @Farmer_Tom_UK @soilmentor If present in soil, doesn’t mean that it’s in the plant. Sap test AND soil test would be ideal to see what’s in the plant and what would be available in the soil.

@georgiewildbray @LinesMartin @Farmer_Tom_UK @soilmentor There are a good number of nutrients involved in N metabolism in one way or another. It is helpful to have a handle on them as, if they are short, the plants can't take up, mobilise and utilise the N efficiently. SAP and tissue testing can be helpful but need to be interpreted.

last year we tested our soil N in Feb to help refine nutrient applications in the spring Now hear SAP testing is better Is SAP+Soil good or a waste of money? What other nutrients is worth testing for other than N? Advice appreciated! @LinesMartin @Farmer_Tom_UK @soilmentor
