Those of you sharing this message are either falling prey to #Serbia|n #victimhood narratives and propaganda, or you have consciously become part of Serbian propaganda, because: First, the large tifo displayed by the Delije fans was not an image of Jesus Christ, but of Stefan Nemanja (canonized as Saint Simeon the Myrrh-flowing), a figure who is both religious and political! Second, @UEFA rules strictly prohibit religious, political, or ideological messages in stadiums during official matches. The display, together with the banner “May our faith lead you to victory,” was rightly sanctioned as “a message not fit for a sporting event.” #UEFA fined Crvena Zvezda a total of 95.500 EUR for the incidents during their Europa League match against Lille on 26 February 2026. ▪️40.000 EUR, specifically for the large tifo showing Stefan Nemanja (Saint Simeon the Myrrh-flowing) and the banner “May our faith lead you to victory”.
