I’ve been in too many rooms where “youth empowerment” is thrown around like confetti at a national pity party. Boardrooms, conference halls, panel discussions, and press releases—all overflowing with the language of potential. But when the talk is over observer24.com.na/stop-studying-…

There is no room for context, no allowance for contradictions. Just a tightrope stretched between extremes, and the moment you step, gravity decides whether it's left or right. Nuance has been erased. The world no longer asks what you believe in—it asks, which side are you on?

The machine doesn’t need your full agreement, only one spark of alignment, and suddenly, you are owned by a side. We were promised freedom of thought, but the moment you express one, you are sorted, labeled, and expected to conform to everything that follows.

The Death of the Center The illusion of a middle ground has collapsed. Once, there was space to think, to weigh, to wander. Now, a single thought, a single stance, and you are assigned a side—whether you chose it or not.

When people wished the USA did some things more like Europe, I'm sure they didn't mean from the 1940's.

Videos of the incident at @NAMDIANAM that is still unfolding. Scary when stuff like this starts happening in Windhoek. Received via WhatsApp.

Someone will eventually build a better fork of WordPress—one that prioritizes the community over egos. And when they do, you'll probably chase them down over some obscure licensing issue, because that’s the frame of mind you're in. It’s not about legacy anymore; it’s about sinking the ship just to prove you were the captain.

Hey @photomatt, your 'principled stand' just sent livelihoods in developing countries into a tailspin. Cutting WordPress contributions to this extent isn't leadership; it's a childish tantrum with global consequences. Real people, real businesses, real damage. Wake up. cc: @wpeengine @Automattic @WordPress Cut the shit out and get real, leave the ego out of this and realize how a simple incident like this can undo decades of hard work.

It's not about the lawsuits, it's the whole 'You are doing it so I will also do it' attitude, the childishness of this all. That is something you can end. In the past few months we have moved 40% of our clients to Wix and other platforms, away from WP, because of the uncertainty of this whole saga.
