Few people realize that one of the 80s most memorable moments happened because Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles was simply nervous: in the Walk Like an Egyptian video she looks into the camera and quickly shifts her eyes from side to side, and while everyone assumed it was a planned artistic touch, she later explained that she was just glancing between two people in the crowd for comfort; that spontaneous move turned into an iconic part of 80s pop culture, and even now at 66 she still performs the song and fans still wait for that famous eye flic.
