Kids, don't try this at home (or at your workplace until you've gotten tenure). To be clear: this is a TERRIBLE idea. This is how you end up being a bottom of the barrel scholar with only vibes and nothing to show for it.

I'm such a sucker for clean or clever titles. Just thought about "Staying with the trouble-shooting" and now I wanna write; I don't even have an idea or any ongoing research that would fit, I just like the title so much that I wanna write an article around it.

finished reading this stunning book today. a must-read for anyone interested in how human sciences as we now know them have appeared out of particular philanthropic concern with technocratic societal reform

My brother in Christ, he did the nazi salute twice on live TV and NYT is making it out to be a long-standing hermeneutic conflict.

Just Published: Fabian Offert and I co-wrote this piece on why you are (probably) doing AI criticism wrong as a humanist and why we need better methodological approaches to/in Critical AI Studies than 'So I asked ChatGPT a question and now I have thoughts...'

Join us this Wednesday at 2pm EST for a live panel on “The Collapse of the Syrian Regime,” featuring Bassam Haddad @4Bassam and Omar Dahi @Omardahi, Moderated by Mouin Rabbani @MouinRabbani and Noura Erakat @4Noura. The swift collapse of the Syrian regime took everyone by surprise, after 54 years of rule and a prolonged uprising. Within ten days, a Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS)-led coalition literally marched through Aleppo, Hama, Homs, and Damascus, as other armed groups mobilized in Der`a and Sweida. On Sunday, 8 December 2024, the Presidential residence and state banks temporarily became public property, notorious prisons were broke open. The regime had collapsed. The Syrian political class, army, party echelons, and the once infamously frightening security services’ heads were nowhere to be seen. Poof! Bashar Asad and family were now in Moscow. We will discuss the context of these developments as well as the notable absence of regime allies’ support, in addition to regional and international implications, including Israel’s continuing genocide. More on PalestineInContext.org and shortly on Jadaliyya.com Wednesday, 11 December, 2 pm EST, 9 pm Damascus Live on X.com/Jadaliyya & Youtube.com/Jadaliyya.

5/ We need approaches that can analyze power beyond traditional possession frameworks while addressing collective digital interdependence. Drawing inspiration from pathfinders like Jodi Byrd, @AmooreLouise, Butler, Hartman, Fuentes, @everestpipkin & @Agos_Daniella for this.
