The world has witnessed two years of Israeli genocide: countless massacres, widespread displacement, engineered famine, and the annihilation of civic infrastructure. Israel has successively occupied North Gaza, Rafah, and Khan Younis, sealing them off, and razing them to the ground. Yet it has failed in its strategic aim — the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from all of Gaza. Any ceasefire must protect what remains of Gaza City, and dismantle the military corridors, so that Palestinians can return to their land. Without support for Palestinian-led reconstruction, the genocide will continue. We mapped the evolution of Israel’s two-year assault on Gaza: frames.forensic-architecture.org/gaza/two-years

Early this morning, Israel raided 22 of the 58 boats heading to Gaza as part of the @gbsumudflotilla, detaining 175 activists. The flotilla was in international waters near Crete, 600 miles from Gaza’s coastline. On Wednesday, artist and filmmaker Ali Cherri and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) filed a complaint in French courts over the Israeli military’s bombing of Cherri’s family apartment in the Mazraa-Barbour area of Beirut on November 26, 2024. The attack occurred just ten hours before the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect, killing seven civilians, including Cherri’s parents. Based on the digital reconstruction by Forensic Architecture and the documentation by Amnesty International, the complaint emphasizes that the attack on the building was deliberate and holds the Israeli occupation forces responsible for the bombing. These findings reveal a clear violation of international humanitarian law, which requires distinguishing between military targets and civilian objects. Accordingly, the complaint was filed on the grounds of a war crime consisting of a deliberate attack against a civilian target, an offense punishable under French criminal law.

We know the UK flew surveillance flights over Gaza two days after the aid worker massacre that killed 15 Palestinians on the 23rd of March 2025. The British Palestinian Committee, alongside @ForensicArchi and @earshot_ngo, demand that this surveillance footage be released. These British spy planes have played a vital role in facilitating Israel’s genocide in Gaza; the UK government must end all military collaboration with Israel and instead aid investigations into Israel’s war crimes in Gaza.

Shout out to my brilliant friend Ayat. Her home and everything she ever knew was reduced to rubble, and she lived (is still living) through the unimaginable. Like everyone else, she did all she could to help herself, her family, and her community. An architect by training and profession, she designed and built structures for life and health, from the debris of death surrounding her. NEW: Our latest joint investigation with @earshot_ngo, in collaboration with @PalestineRCS, examines the March 2025 massacre of fifteen Palestinian aid workers in Tel al-Sultan, Gaza, including staff of PRCS and @UNRWA. Our research shows that Israeli forces carried out a coordinated and prolonged attack on clearly marked emergency vehicles and personnel.
