🚨 Now: I am in Portland covering the high-profile trial of Oregon v Angella Lyn Davis. Davis, a leftist protester, has been accused of launching an attack on independent journalist @nicksortor outside the ICE facility in October 2025. The incident led to the "unlawful arrest" of Sortor: a case that has since been dismissed by the district attorney's office. Video footage shows Davis, dressed in a costume, among a group of black bloc agitators allegedly attacking Sortor after he rescued a burning American flag — thread:
