I can't say I'm too concerned with the threat of the Medicaid expansion being repealed in OK, even with the August ballot measure and GOP attempts to ratfuck it, but part of me still dreads the vote.

@SenatorLuma California is the Bastian of neo-white-supremacy ... Not that funny to me as a brown dude from a shithole country! (Scientism as hegemony, Racial capitalism, democracy as racial contract, Imperial core extracting resources, F off, with love!)

Larry Stein is the most likely to retain his seat, although I'd still say it's lean republican. He's getting old, has drawn a fairly MAGA primary challenger, and only barely hung on in 2018 when the OK Co. GOP was stronger compared to 2026.

There are two other county wide offices, with assessor Larry Stein running for reelection and the treasurer seat becoming an open one after the incumbent retired. Trump only won OK county by 1.7%, a minor rightward shift from 2020, but he was unable to secure a majority in 2024.

Happy Easter, He is risen! Im sick this Easter so Ive not been able to do much other than read passages this morning, so I hope you guys had a lovely Easter morning. I did manage to calculate what I think is the 2024 margin for Oklahoma county commission D3 which is Trump +11.8!

@OdchanTrangmo One can hope! I've not looked into the candidates for the district, but I'm feeling pretty hopeful about our chances there.

In 2020, Trump won the district, which includes Edmond, (ignoring boundary changes) by over 16%, so a Democratic win here could probably strengthen Democratic swings in the area and bolster their strength in OK county in 2028 and onwards.

@SoonerDemocrat I don't think anyone is a nearly strong enough candidate, but if she was able to put up such a strong overperformance in 2022 during a red year then I can convince myself to false hope for (W)OK(E)-5.

What’s the chance MAGA tries to throw Drummond under the bus if he wins the nomination?

imo the OKGOP not bothering to run a DA candidate for OK county says a lot about what they think about their future prospects there.

Here's a sheet detailing what legislative seats will be contested or not for OK 2026 midterm elections. It's not yet finished, but if it has any errors lmk in the replies. There's some other details in this besides what's contested. Feel free to retweet docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
