@DoremianC @Knifesart This. 100% It's most apparent as an artist just starting out. The guidelines and things to help draw tends to give the drawing texture and a sense of dept. Once removed, it's up to you to properly fill in those details.

@Knifesart I think it's ambiguity. Sketches often have fuzzy details, so brain tends to fill the gaps, while lineart has less leeway. Also it's a loop: bad lineart > avoid lineart > less practice > bad lineart. Personally, i just shut my brain and line.

@Yotahee It still baffles me how fast some artists can draw high quality stuff. Even my silly grem drawings take 2 hours. I know it's all about practice, but it's hard imagining ever reaching that level.

So most of the drawings you see me post take about 1-2 hours to produce. Theres some exceptions that take longer but end up cleaner, and those take about 3-4 hours (like the Shiori/Leon drawing) I wanna train to produce cleaner art in the 1-2 hour range.
