In June 2023, Apostle Gideon Odoma and some other Christians were praying in tongues in Nazareth, and something strange happened. He noticed a Polish man staring at them. After a while, he called another Polish man to join him. After the prayers, the Polish man walked up to the group praying. He asked one of the pastors there if he spoke Polish. The pastor said no. The Pole said all through the prayers, he was hearing him speak in the Polish language. He said the pastor spoke about his family, mentioned the names of two people, his granddaughter and another one. He spoke about what they were going through and gave guidance and encouragement from the Lord. To corroborate his experience, he called the other Polish guy to testify. He noted that he had asked him to join him initially to test if he was truly hearing Polish. The other Pole said it was true. The pastor spoke Polish. But he wasn't a Pole, and he didn't know Polish. The two Poles were Catholics, and the tongue spoken was the shababababa that we maniacal charismatics do. I used maniacal because Pentecostal activities like speaking in tongues have been tagged as charismania. This is one of the expressions of speaking in tongues. This has happened to Apostle Gideon Odoma several times. But the experience is not unique to him. Derek Prince noted such as well. Many others, too. This is the gift of God that believers here denounce. Why have I taken the time to say this? It is not to debate anything. I have said I won't do that anymore. It is to speak to you who speaks in tongues to please continue in it. The people telling you not to don't pray in tongues. The people telling you not to think the gifts of the Spirit have ceased. The people telling you not to believe that prophecy is reading the Bible and teaching it well. The people telling you not to think it is not scriptural to pray publicly in church. The people telling you not to think it is selfish to pray in tongues. The people telling you not to think that speaking in tongues is only knowing how to speak another language supernaturally. That was why the reaction observed on the Rev'd Ikechukwu video was like that. I pray they don't see Rev'd Ikechukwu's Zoom prayer meetings where he prayed in the shabalabababa tongues that is considered a sign of mania here. Finally, I have just written to you not to abandon the gift of God because of those whose ultimate pride is reading the articles of dead scholars who twisted the Bible for a philosophical agenda. Pray in tongues. We Pentecostals have our myriad of issues. Yes. But most things your pastor has told you about speaking in tongues are true. Your spirit will open up. You will generate power. You will see visions of God. You will bear the fruits of the Spirit. Your spiritual senses will be enlightened. You will grow in the knowledge of His will. You will heal the sick as power will be made available. Pray in tongues. It is a means of edification. I pray God helps you. Amen
