@binji_x This is exactly where the industry is heading! The biggest winners long term probably won’t be the protocols themselves, they’ll be the teams building consumer experiences on top of invisible crypto infrastructure

My thesis on the future of perps, is in line with my general thinking that the real long term opportunity is not to build better crypto apps but to build apps where crypto is the substrate and the access point to new experiences. The obvious use case with perps is that sophisticated funds and traders can use these platforms directly today, but the more interesting thing to me is that these markets can become deep liquidity backends for entirely new financial interfaces. Due to the products mentioned in the QT, you do not need to become Coinbase or build a whole exchange from scratch just to experiment with a better trading or investing experience. The beauty of open systems like Ethereum, and smart contracts built on top of it, is that you can build a front end on top of existing liquidity and market infrastructure. This all basically opens up a much larger design space. The truth is, most people in the world still do not actively invest. Part of the reason is that today’s interfaces are intimidating and largely built for people who already understand markets. We can change that, with onchain as an infinite backend for people to compose new front ends atop of. To compose new primitives on top of. Ethereum’s open market infrastructure gives everyday builders a way to test new consumer experiences at scale without recreating the entire financial backend or needing to bootstrap mass liquidity. The next wave of users could very well come from new front ends that make markets feel accessible to a much broader set of people. I need to get more concise here, but may write this down properly later if you guys want to hear more.
