Things non-LGBT+ people never have to think about: if it’s better to just pretend your partner is a friend when they visit you on a hospital ward. I don’t know how these other patients will react to the fact I’m gay. Or if i kiss my husband goodbye.

I’m trying to lose weight responsibly. The human body is one giant design flaw. 500kcal deficit is missing a meal. 500kcal over eat is looking at a cookie for too long. That can’t be right!

We’re such a weird country. We have a quick and easy vote to select our government. A night of results. All fairly sensible. Then we spend a day playing ‘kings and queens’ and dress up to formalise it all. A day of storybook fantasy to top off a day of sensible business.

The front bench Tories that have held their seats are all giving very ‘next leader of the party’ speeches. It’s frankly embarrassing.

Labour just took my constituency. It was expected but nice to be confirmed.

@rhysmorgan It seems to be a focus being pushed by the righter parties only now that FPTP isn’t working for them. I think it’s a prelude to some sort of push for reform. Just in what form, I don’t know. And driven by those parties is worrying if you ask me.

@mazchan Cheese is so good. I’ve been banned from blue cheese which is a little sad. It’s the only transplant food ban that really bothers me. Oxford Blue was an amazing cheese.

@mazchan While I was in the ward recovering there were loads of people who came through having gallbladders removed. All of them said it was much easier/better than they thought it would be. So you’ll breeze through it all. And you’re lovely so you’ll be well looked after.

@mazchan Thank you. That is my big problem. I may have started work too early in recovery. And I keep working through general illness (which is always a massive thing due to the immunocomprimsed nature of me). But I’ll learn and get there. Hope you’re well too!

@mazchan I’m good. Thank you. Had my Op in May 2023. Was rough going at first. Had a lot of rejection but with the help of some very clever doctors and amazing medication I’m better than I’ve been in a decade :)
