aerith is canonically a woman from an indigenous group of people that were mass murdered, including her parents, and consistently hunted, experimented on and nearly assaulted because of it.

@Supernerd471 @CloudxAerith IMHO after OGFF7, SE did not anticipate most players would reject A’s forwardness, prefer T, and for Z to be so popular. Devs were flippant/unkind towards T in OG (boing Chan, “poor T”, etc). SE retconned and expanded the story to appeal to a broader market.

Something that I don't ever see get discussed is how Aerith assumed Zack left her for another woman when he was in Nibelheim.
Like when you really stop to think about it what does it say about their relationship or her opinion of him.

@aerithsroses IMO CC was an unfortunate and misguided overcompensation for how a segment of gamers poorly received OG Aerith’s forward and aggressive personality. It’s what bothers me about CC and it cannot be undone. So they must double down for coherence. Such a shame.

@blueroseknight0 @milkynoe Yeah. SAO is ok. I don’t even think the 2nd half of season 1 took away from Asuna’s character. I don’t see the issue with her being in a vulnerable position and needing to be helped in one story arc. How boring it would be if she was always strong.
