An arc isn't defined by "characteristics." An arc is defined by how characters interact with the narrative and also each other.
I've mapped Leon's full arc. It took me WEEKS because it's so dense. You can't tell me he's not a deep character; I did the work lmao

@NunoAshfield @AestheticGamer1 It did lose what it is though. That's why we got RE7, because the pushback on how not RE 5 and especially 6 were. 4 only got a pass because it happened to be very good, it was still basically a totally different thing from RE1-CV.
And RE characters are beyond generic anyway.

Leon's not Resident Evil. I think something RE fans need to accept is Resident Evil isn't a character first franchise, and if there's any "mascot" it'd be Chris at this point even if he mostly just gets side gigs & cameos he's in nearly every numbered RE game in some way.

@AestheticGamer1 Village had Chris on the cover, Capcom made it seem like Chris was turning Evil or was gonna die. Im pretty sure Village would sell less otherwise. And Requiem wasn't getting as much attention as it did before Leon Announcement.

I do think Leon helped push some copies of Resident Evil Requiem, but "less than half" is bullshit. Resident Evil Village sold 4.5 million in its first 2 months, Requiem sold 6 million in its first 2 months. Personally I think Requiem without Leon likely would've hit 5 million.
