Hydrogen heating to avoid grid congestion is utterly insane. You lose 50% of energy in electrolysis, compression, transport and boiler. Put the uncurtailed power into a heat pump, and COP multiplies it by 3-4x. Comparing, H2 delivers more heat ONLY IF CURTAILMENT IS OVER 80%!!!
