Great to be back delivering a live RiiSE event over the weekend. This RiiSE project has taken quite a bit of graft since 2017 and is now under the @IR_juniors banner. Thanks to my #RiiSE23 team, our speakers and facilitators and attendees for raising vital funds for @wwradiology!

@GasDocYates @thegradmedic @JoeCommonSense3 Completely get your point. Was purely interested to hear about therapeutic rads moving towards advanced practice in image-guided procedures. Have a feeling diagnostic rads far more common. This SoR poster/thread is actually inadvertently helping us understand the roles better 😂!

@Nurkey @thegradmedic @JoeCommonSense3 I think the lines lists are technically run by ‘advanced radiography practitioners’ up here but the department is essentially merged with the therapeutic radiographers. I was simply pointing out that they are independent HCPs

@GasDocYates @thegradmedic @JoeCommonSense3 Would be interested to hear about therapeutic radiographers (normally involved in planning & delivering radiotherapy) doing PICCs & Hickmans - of the 2 professions I’ve only come across advance practice diagnostic radiographers doing this within the interventional radiology dept?

@thegradmedic @JoeCommonSense3 Nope, the NE has both diagnostic radiographers and therapeutic radiographers - both sets work independently without doctors. Therapeutic radiographers do most of the PICC and Hickman line lists for cancer patients. We’d be stuffed without them!
