Food can be something we reach for when feeling anxious, down, lonely or bored. Eating meals is also very often done mindlessly. Practicing mindfulness and meditation enables us to become more aware of automatic processes and to "step out" of them.

In order to determine the most unhelpful forms of cabohydrates, we take a look at the Glycaemic Load of foods. The GL or Glycaemic Load of a food is a measure of how that food affects blood sugar. The lower the GL of a food, the less impact it has on blood sugar levels.

Positive visualisation is so important to your success. Very often people carry around a negative image in their minds of what is going to happen or what might go wrong. They visualize the worst case scenario or visualize themselves failing. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Focussing on the breath is a great way to stay present. The act of breathing is always taking place in the here and now. When you simply follow your breathing without judgment or analysis you allowing yourself to be present in the Now.

As a general rule, the more a food has been processed, the quicker and higher it will spike your blood sugar levels. If most of the processing has been done before you eat the food, there is less processing left for the body to do and so it reaches the blood stream quicker.

Did you know, snacking can be good? Provided we snack right! Sometimes you may not feel hungry but if you have a small snack between meals it will mean that your blood sugar levels will remain balanced right up until your next meal and enable you to make healthier meal choices.

Eating breakfast is absolutely key to achieving balanced blood sugars throughout the day and should be prioritized in your morning routine. Ideally breakfast should be eaten within an hour of waking so that your blood sugar levels don’t have a chance to drop too low.

Confidence is, in reality, fluid not fixed, meaning we can pick up the knack of being self-confident at any time. Positive visualization through hypnosis is a great way of introducing us to the power we have over our own minds and the fact that confidence comes from within.
