You’re given $2m.
You have 20 minutes to spend it.
You can’t spend it on cars, airplanes, yacht or a house. You can’t spend it on golds or diamonds either.
What will you buy??
@relai_app Hei @relai_app . Sehr gerne natürlich. Oder noch besser. Ich komm einfach mal bei euch im Westhive vorbei und wir sprechen über Bitcoin. Vielleicht habt ihr ja Arbeit für einen Bitcoin begeisterten BWLer ;)
The new tax on unrealized profits in the Netherlands is one of the worst political ideas I have heard in the last 10 years or so. In reality, it will not achieve anything except making the poor even poorer. Wealthy people have options, and they will use them.
I would never allow my net worth to be slowly taken away by the state, and neither will the Dutch elites. If they do not leave the country, and some of them will, they will simply move their wealth into BVs, which are not taxed in the same way, and that will be the end of it.
To sum it up: the rich will not care, and the poor will suffer more. I am not a political person, but this kind of policy in Europe has to stop. Otherwise, we risk serious long term economic decline.
@xmuse_ In short:
We stopped building like this because our money stopped being real.
When value can be printed, value creation loses meaning.
Fiat builds strip malls.
Sound money builds cathedrals. (4)
@xmuse_ So instead of cathedrals, we got glass boxes. Instead of artisans, we got cost-cutting contractors. Architecture reflects the values of its money: sound money builds beauty and permanence; fiat builds cheap and temporary. (3)
@xmuse_ When money decays (like fiat does through inflation), time preference rises — people think short-term. You don’t invest decades into carving marble when your currency loses 2–10 % of its value every year. (2)
@xmuse_ We stopped building like this when money stopped being sound.
Under a hard money system — like the gold standard — capital was preserved across generations. People built things meant to last centuries, because their savings held value over time. (1)

I miss when men just organically took care of women. I’m not talking about financially but in general. You see a woman putting air in her tire & immediately take over. Heavy groceries? You carrying them. With no expectation of anything in return. No motives, just men.
@maikpi70 Warum hört das auf:
