VERY DISTURBING VIDEO 🤦🏿
Another reason why the war against terrorism seems impossible but I believe Nigeria will triumph
“Nigeria got a Govt-to-Govt deal with the UAE to supply military equipment to Nigeria at a $2 unit price. Nigeria was buying the same equipment at $27. It would save Nigeria $25. Late Buhari signed it but the head of the Cabal in his govt, Mamman Daura, refused the deal. It was stopped.”

@GarbaIbrah14130 @renoomokri I don’t recall mentioning any support for closing schools or commercial activities in a region on Mondays. It would be beneficial for you to read more carefully to understand my position before responding. Stay informed!

Regarding my last post asking the Christian Association of Nigeria not to threaten the Muslim Ummah with a lawsuit on the temporal closure of schools during Ramadan, I see some people claiming that the New Year holidays and festivities are general.
For those saying the New Year is for all, I encourage you to learn about other cultures so you can expand your knowledge. The New Year holidays are not for all. They were forced on all Nigerians first by the colonialists and then by the Nigerian state.
The New Year in Nigeria is based on the Gregorian calendar of Christendom. Please fact-check me. Before colonialism, the dominant calendar in the geographical location now known as Nigeria was the Islamic calendar. Please assume I am lying and fact-check me.
The fact that Muslims accepted this for the peace and stability of Nigeria does not mean that it is a secular holiday.
For over 500 years before European colonialists imposed their calendar on us, Arewa celebrated the Hijri New Year. They have given that up for Nigeria.
Ethiopia is the only African country that was never colonised. Because of that, it does not celebrate the Gregorian New Year. Instead, it marks its own cultural New Year according to its Indigenous calendar. Their New Year is called Enkutatash and will be celebrated on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the Gregorian Calendar.
When you see me in Ethiopia around that time each year, it is because of Enkutatash and Meskel.
Read the Kano Chronicles. They predate Nigeria and mention celebrating the Hijri New Year. Nigeria does not start until Lagos and end in Onitsha.
Try to develop the ability to see things from other people's points of view and not be entirely ruled by your own biases.

@BashirAhmaad I see no reason to close schools for Ramadan, as this is not a requirement in Islam. Just like, closing roads on Fridays is not a part of the religion. Both should focus on accommodating the needs of students without disrupting their education.

No matter how much I wanted to stay away from this topic, it is difficult to ignore the way it has been framed. With all the student bodies and civil society organizations in this country, Why does it have to be the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) that is threatening these state governments with legal action on this issue?
One of the biggest challenges we face as a nation is how quickly policy matters turn into religious battles. In this case, CAN has taken the lead in challenging state governments over a matter that student unions or education-focused advocacy groups should have engaged.
Let’s assume CAN wins this legal battle. How would it be viewed if MURIC (Muslim Rights Concern) or any other Islamic organization decided to take legal action against states that close schools in December for the Christmas break?
Instead of taking a sectarian approach, CAN should have allowed neutral stakeholders, such as student unions, education boards, and civil rights organizations, to engage these state governments constructively rather than turning it into a religious debate.

@toluogunlesi Happy Birthday @toluogunlesi ! You are one of the few reputable journalists and former presidential aides on communications that I deeply respect a lot. I admire you greatly and am inspired by your work. Wishing you all the best in life, and may you continue to win the battles

Yesterday my grandmother, Grace Olusola, died, 4 months to her 99th birthday. She died at the same age her mother died, in 2004, also four months to 99.
Today, March 3, her husband, my grandfather, would’ve been 104. Also today, I’m a year older.
Many stories to tell about her, including that she’s my first and strongest claim to Lagosianship. She lived 86 of those 98+ years in Lagos—between Lagos Island, Ebute Metta and Ogba—from the moment she entered Queen’s College in 1938. Gave birth to all her children in Lagos. And will definitely be buried in Lagos—as part of not leaving this bit to chance, she bought her Lagos burial plot a long, long time ago.
There’s an unfinished poem I’ve been writing about her for two years now, featuring her and Queen Elizabeth. Born two months apart in 1926, linked by the Church of England, but fated to very different lives...

I am proud that a Nigerian, Kemi Badenoch, a Member of Parliament and leader of His Majesty's Opposition, is the highest-ranking Black person in the United Kingdom. But Kemi still has a lot to learn in life.
Mrs. Badenoch should recall that when Anthony Joshua was arrested in 2011 on drug charges, the headline in ALL British papers was something like this, 'Nigerian Boxer Arrested With Drugs'. I urge her office to please fact-check me.
But when the very same Anthony Joshua won a gold medal in men's super heavyweight boxing at the 2012 London Olympics, the headline in British papers read 'British Boxer Wins Boxing Gold'.
Within a year, Mr. Joshua transformed from a Nigerian to a Briton. What a miracle!
The British media are celebrating Kemi because it is currently chic to do so. There is, after all, some novelty in the fact that she is the first Black person to hold such an exalted position. But she would do well to remember that she is only British and not English. And when she makes a mistake, as we all do, the British media will remember that she is Nigerian in their headline.
I urge Mrs. Badenoch to learn from Barack Obama. Kenya has the same teething challenges as Nigeria, and in many areas, Nigeria is far ahead of that East African country.
Yet, Mr. Obama never de-marketed or disassociated himself from Kenya. He visited Kenya, promoted her, and proudly spoke about his Kenyan heritage.
To paraphrase a popular proverb, 'success has many fathers, but failure has only one mother'.
Mrs. Badenoch may want to acquaint herself with the case of former British star footballer John Fashanu. When he was the darling of the football-loving Brits, he was called British, and he did not associate with Nigeria.
Then, scandal came, and the headlines changed from British footballer to Nigerian player. Today, Mr. Fashanu lives in Abuja. I hope and pray that the same fate will not happen to Kemi!

Please repost until they cannot deny seeing it:
I am prepared to deposit the $25,000 in a neutral escrow account to be chosen by Peter Obi anywhere in the world, such that as soon as Peter Obi, or any of his Obidients presents a subsisting court judgment ordering the release of Nnamdi Kanu, as alleged by Peter Obi in his broadcast yesterday, they will get paid.

Thank you, PM News. After 96 hours all they can find are insults, abuse, and death threats. And Gbajue. Naming fake projects that I debunked, with documentary evidence.
My challenge still stands. Please just name one school initiated, started, completed and commissioned by Peter Obi during the eight years he was Governor of Anambra and win ₦11,400,000, the present equivalent of $10,000.

This is Mr. Monsuru Obe. He is the Chairman of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area in Lagos. Please fact-check me: His government has constructed four roads, two schools, and is in the process of constructing a third school, and has built and commissioned multiple health centres. Mr. Obe's administration has also provided free uniforms to primary school pupils in his LCDA.
Please note that Mr. Obe is NOT a Local Government Chairman. He is a Local Council Development Area Chairman, meaning his allocation is smaller than that of a constitutionally recognised Local Government Chairman. Yet, he has achieved this.
Now, my challenge to Peter Obi and his Obidients is this: Name one school that Peter Obi's government initiated, started, completed and commissioned in the eight years that he was Governor of Anambra, and I will pay you $10,000.
How can a Local Council Development Area Chairman's government build multiple schools, and a Governor did not construct even one, and then you say he is the best Presidential candidate you can offer Nigerians? Surely, Nigeria deserves better. Don't you think so?
Name and collect the money!
