At 4:50 AM, a commercial bus was stopped. Three passengers tried to escape, and one gun was found. On May 11, 2026, officers from the Oyo State Police Restore Peace Unit carried out stop-and-search operations based on intelligence along Old Oyo Road in Fiditi. Police stopped a commercial bus and searched the passengers and their luggage. Suddenly, three men tried to run away. Officers chased them and caught all three. Inside their luggage, officers found a locally made pistol and several charms, all hidden in a nylon bag. The three suspects, Kilani Abbas (31), Toheed Adediwura (38), and Ibrahim Rafiu (40), are now in custody. Police are still investigating where the weapon came from and what it was meant for. This is an example of proactive, intelligence-led policing. The goal is to prevent crime before it happens. Even at 4:50 in the morning on a quiet road, the Oyo State Police Command remains alert and active. CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga thanked IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, for his strategic leadership, which continues to inspire effective results.

PRESS RELEASE OYO POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS, RECOVER LOCALLY FABRICATED PISTOL DURING INTELLIGENCE-LED STOP-AND-SEARCH OPERATION As part of the Oyo State Police Command’s proactive policing strategy and sustained commitment to intelligence-led crime prevention operations across the State, operatives attached to the Restore Peace Unit have recorded another operational breakthrough with the recovery of a locally fabricated pistol and the arrest of three suspects. The incident occurred on 11th May, 2026, at about 0450hrs, when Police operatives conducting routine intelligence-driven stop-and-search operations along Old Oyo Road, by American International School, Bethel, Fiditi, intercepted a commercial bus with registration number yet unknown. Upon interception of the vehicle, all passengers onboard alongside their respective luggage were subjected to thorough search procedures in line with standard operational protocols. During the exercise, the operatives observed suspicious conduct from three passengers who allegedly took to their heels immediately attention was focused on them and their luggage. Their action triggered a frantic chase by the Police operatives, leading to their eventual arrest. Subsequent search conducted on the luggage allegedly linked to the suspects led to the recovery of a locally fabricated pistol alongside assorted charms concealed inside a nylon bag. The arrested suspects were identified as Kilani Abbas, male, aged 31, of Onaara-Amoloko; Toheed Adediwura, male, aged 38, of Kolobo Area, Oyo; and Ibrahim Rafiu, male, aged 40, of Sanga Area, Oyo. The suspects are currently in Police custody while investigations have commenced to determine the source of the recovered firearm, its intended use, and possible connections to criminal activities. The Command notes that this recovery further underscores the critical importance of intelligence-led stop-and-search operations as an effective crime prevention strategy capable of intercepting dangerous weapons and criminal elements before they strike. The operation also highlights the indispensable role of vigilance, cooperation, and timely intelligence sharing between members of the public and security agencies in the collective fight against crime and criminality. The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga, psc, mnips, while appreciating the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), npm, for his continued support and strategic leadership, urged residents to continue supporting the Police with credible and actionable information, assuring that all information received will be treated with utmost confidentiality and professionalism. The CP further reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to sustaining robust intelligence-based policing, visibility patrols, strategic stop-and-search operations, and other proactive measures aimed at protecting lives and property across the State. For Emergencies, Contact: Oyo State Call Response Center Toll-Free Line: 615. Oyo State Police Command Control Room: 08081768614 & 07055495413. Let me get this straight. Trump sued his own IRS for $10 billion. His own Justice Department is now considering settling that case. And one of the terms on the table is that the IRS drops all audits of Trump, his family, and his businesses PERMANENTLY. He’s using the full weight of the federal government to protect himself and his family from accountability and potentially pay himself BILLIONS of your tax dollars. nytimes.com/2026/05/12/bus…

BREAKING: MASSIVE HYPOCRISY! JD Vance RANTS ON about fighting fraud as DOJ drops charges against a foreign billionaire accused of bribery. The audacity is almost more breathtaking than the hypocrisy. JD Vance has been barnstorming the country, delivering fiery speeches about fraud, promising to put fraudsters "in prison, which is where they belong," boasting that catching criminals is "like fishing in a barrel," and assuring working Americans that "for the first time in a very long time, you've got an administration in Washington that is fighting for you." Then the New York Times dropped a bombshell: the Trump Justice Department is preparing to drop all criminal charges against Gautam Adani — India's richest man, worth $104 billion — who was indicted for orchestrating a $265 million scheme to bribe Indian government officials and lying to American investors about it. How did Adani do it? He hired Trump's own personal lawyer, Robert Giuffra of Sullivan & Cromwell. Giuffra walked into DOJ headquarters, showed prosecutors 100 slides, and — in what the Times describes as an "unusual offer" — dangled a $10 billion investment and 15,000 American jobs if prosecutors walked away. At least one senior Justice Department official responded favorably. The charges are now being dropped. This is the fraud network Vance described in his own speech — powerful people at the top of a corrupt pyramid buying their way out of accountability — except the people running the pyramid are his Trump administration colleagues. Vance thundered about dead people getting food stamps. Meanwhile, his administration is letting a foreign billionaire accused of a quarter-billion-dollar bribery conspiracy walk free after flashing a big enough check. Adani will pay a comparatively paltry $18 million SEC penalty — a rounding error on a $104 billion fortune. This follows Trump pardoning donors, dropping charges against political allies, and dismissing the entire Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as criminalizing "routine business practices." The message from this administration could not be clearer: fraud prosecutions are for poor people and political enemies. If you're a billionaire with the right lawyer and a big enough investment pledge, justice is very much for sale. Vance said the fraudsters belong in prison. He just forgot to mention which ones. Please like and share to spread the news.

With the crisis between the USA and Iran. Nigeria won't be able to survive in peace without a refinery. That's why a risk taker like the Dangote and his refinery must be encouraged by the government. What I did was to support him by giving him free trade for his own license and supporting him in his efforts to source the necessary crude. We were supposed to export our crude oil to get dollar revenue, but we offered the Dangote Refinery crude in Naira. Today, he is an exporter of PMS and aviation fuel to other African countries. - President Tinubu spoke today at the Africa CEO Forum in Rwanda

Amaechi went to ADC National Chairman David Mark and threatened to leave the party because the ADC was pampering Peter Obi. I have two deputies under me, and one was nominated by Peter Obi. Amaechi and Atiku can't point anyone they nominated into the ADC NWC. Osita Chidoka wanted to be the National Organising Secretary, but we gave that position to Obi to nominate someone and so many other positions. That was how we lost Osita. - ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi
