I’ve got to be honest. You look like a complete idiot if you still think masks, vaccines, in-person school, behavior, or politics impact the amount of Covid cases in a region.

@KUSINews @nathanfletcher I've got a 100+ page bibliography on Covid issues that dwarfs the work I did for my advanced degree or published research. The conclusions: 😷 Masks are pointless 💉 Vaccinating the at-risk is good 🛂 Vax mandates/passes are counterproductive 🔒 Lockdowns are awful policy

Supervisor @NathanFletcher tells San Diegans they are too dumb to research anything related to coronavirus. His message comes after hours of speeches from members of the public voicing their opposition to the COVID-19 response he has led over the past year.

@ontheasternsea @politicalmath I'm visually impaired. I went to a regular public school. I also had a specialist come in once a month to make sure I was doing OK, keeping up, and socially adapting. Additionally, blind children rely on hearing to adapt. That will not be the case for masked children.

Let's review the NYT "evidence" that masks help children learn: 1) Children who live in countries that mandate burquas for women still learn social skills 2) Blind children can learn to speak 3) Children also look at eyes when they learn to communicate I'm not making this up

@JayLoh78 @politicalmath A. Europe does not have a mask mandate for young children. B. It has not been studied over the long term because NO. ONE. HAS. EVER. DONE. IT. BEFORE. not even Asian countries with mask culture put their kids in masks for long stretches prior to Covid. C. Faces matter.

@politicalmath The reality is many countries around the world - Singapore, Australia, Europe, HK, Japan currently have school mask mandates and there is no controversy as in the USA. Many with world-class education systems. No evidence from these countries of harm from mask wearing.

Why does vaccinating not stop cases in France & Ireland while not vaccinating doesn't lead to case spikes in Ukraine & Romania? What’s that you say, cases don’t matter? I agree! So, stop using cases to justify masks, vax passes, quarantines, & lockdowns.

@DollyPontiac Vaccines seem to be effective in preventing severe illness & death. Thus, they should be highly encouraged for those who are at-risk. Sadly, that simple idea has been ruined by the constant drive to vaccinate those not at risk while not allowing freedom for the vaccinated.

Wow, the irony of worrying about coming Taliban tyranny – maybe that's right – at a time when public health officials in Western democracies are warning people not to speak to neighbors, to cover their faces, to obey the medical/scientific elite or get excluded from public life.
