This Earth Month we are celebrating @HorizonWestOCPS and our @OCPSEnergy team for achieving the Energy Star award! Horizon West is one of only seven schools in OCPS to have achieved this prestigious award! Did you know that Energy Star awardees have saved over $500 billion total?

Thank you @WindermereOCPS for having us visit your "in-school fieldtrips" to the garden. It was wonderful having conversations in the garden pertaining to the plant cycle, butterfly life cycle, and parts of plants. You are growing something really special!

We are proud of one of our most-improved composting schools preventing food waste, @TimberLakesocps! Students help monitor the food waste bin at lunch, with 800+ lbs. of food scraps diverted in 1 week. TLE also incorporates waste reduction into art classes by upcycling materials!
