Earlier this month a rare green cheek conure was taken from a local business. Lake Forest Investigations FLEW into action to locate the suspect of this FOWL play. The bird was located & returned to his owner, while the suspect will be heading to court for his ill-EAGLE activities

Lake Forest Deputies are on a roll! Recently, 2 stops resulted in the discovery of subjects in possession of unregistered firearms. An additional investigation located a firearm and narcotics. In total, 5 individuals were arrested for multiple offenses. #RoadTripToJail

This morning, deputies responded to a bomb threat near Lake Forest Dr. and Rockfield Blvd. The Hazardous Devices Squad conducted a thorough sweep and determined there was no threat in the area. The suspect is in custody, and the area is now safe.

OC Sheriff Hazardous Devices Section responded to investigate, and no device was located. There is no known danger to the public at this time and the area is back open to the public. One male subject was detained for possibly reporting a false emergency.

There is an active investigation in the shopping area near Raymond Way and El Toro Rd. Raymond Way has been closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Please avoid the area while we work to finish our investigation. Updates will be provided as soon as they become available.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to track down additional information and witnesses in an Oct. 17 bank robbery.
