@OCTGman Well spotted, Phil. Can't quite make out the wing venation, but I suspect one of the smaller ichneumons, perhaps in subfamily Campopleginae or Phygadeuontinae.

@ivysuckle Here’s a tiny wasp in the kitchen this evening. Nose to ovipositor about 6 mm. Any ideas Dud?

English

@ivysuckle Thanks for the correction Dud. Always happy to be put right. Not seen anything else here although Early Moth, Winter Moth and Mottled Umber locally.
English

@OCTGman A very welcome sight & early too, I don't usually see the winter Ophion until February here. I think it has been disaggregated from obscuratus & is now classified as O. variegatus?
English

@rlewington2 Thanks Richard. Totally wrong but I’m pleased to be corrected. Thanks for taking the time.
English

@OCTGman Neither of those two, Phil. It’s the caterpillar of the Yellow-tail.
English

@rlewington2 Would appreciate your opinion on the attached archive photo. I'm undecided between Knot Grass (favoured) and Dark Dagger. June 6, 2018 at Summerleys, Northants. Many thanks for your help.

@MOTHIDUK Hello Sean. I’m stuck on this from this morning. Think it should be a Thera sp but can’t go further. Can you help please?

English

@MOTHIDUK Another of my fuzzy images, for which I apologise. Can you make this Webb’s Wainscot please Sean? Thanks for any guidance.

English

@MOTHIDUK I'm thinking an Argyresthia sp. But several to choose from and I'm not sure. Do you have an opinion please Sean?

English

@OCTGman Yes a Nematopogon. Can't be sure which, most likely schwarziellus
English

@MOTHIDUK Can I beg your indulgence with this rubbish photo. Could it be Nematopogon sp? Thanks for your guidance
