I wish high school kids could see some of the 5 o clock hitters on college teams that rarely play or don’t play at all.
If you don’t know what a 5 o clock hitter is, it’s a guy that destroys balls in batting practice, but doesn’t hit well in the games.
It’s the same thing as guys that throw 95 mph in a bullpen and is completely ineffective in game setting.
Thats why coaches are not impressed when you try to pull everything and try to hit tanks in bp with no objective.
He’s got a bench full of guys that can do that.

1,715 D1 baseball players in the portal, 1,022 since June 3rd. 4,000 total across all divisions. Add the junior college and high school players “still looking”. Hard to imagine there’s enough spots for everyone. If you have an offer you may wanna take it before it’s too late.
