Dumb move by the cops for sure. They they got somebody killed, whether he was innocent or not, that’s not the cops job to decide, that’s the judge, and then they got a persons property completed destroyed in the process too. All they had to do was stop the chase, wait for sighting, then get them when they stop which happens all the time.

@TheMetsX Yep, unpopular because it’s not logical in the context of the sport. The out is recorded as soon as the ball is in the glove, and the ball is in play until it lands. What happens with the body after that instant is inconsequential.

Unpopular opinion: If you leave the ground and your ENTIRE BODY lands in the crowd, it should still be a Home Run

@BarstoolNate It’s very different, because it’s the rules. The ball is still in play, and the out is recorded the instant it’s in the glove.

My hottest sports take is if you don't get 2 feet down on the field with the ball in your glove then it should be a HR. Ppl are gonna yell at me but this is no different than a WR jumping while in bounds and catching the ball out of bounds.

I will die on the hill if you end up on the other side of the wall with the ball, that should be a HR. you didn’t prevent the ball from clearing the fence

Went to Dodgers at Giants Spring game yesterday. Cheapest ticket was $70 for general admission. Dodgers didn’t have 1 regular position player in the lineup. That’s not supposed to happen MLB.
