4/ More broadly the government is moving to make a massive investment in affordable housing with the creation of Build Canada Homes. Safe and adequate housing is a precondition to sustainably fighting poverty. While Trudeau got the Feds back into the housing game after decades of neglect - including under Chretien and Martin - Carney is supercharging this with BCH actually building and owning homes directly. Something even Trudeau didn’t do. Scaling that ambition is really important.
