Someone at @RapidResponse47 should be fired tonight.
I’ve seen the viral Rubio Israel clip… and I have some thoughts.

I am not ashamed of my journey. My life will be a testimony.
But if I could offer a word of advice to any freshman, sophomore or junior athlete in high school it would be to just listen bro. All them adults in your life not just talking to talk. They been here longer. They done bumped they head already. They trying to save you from doing the same thing.
Do not make the mistake of thinking your talent alone is enough. It’s not. Talent open doors. Character and grades keep you there. And if you already messed up, if your GPA not where it should be, if your name been in rooms for the wrong reasons… don’t quit. Keep digging. You can climb out the hole the same way you dug it.
Class of 29, 28 and 27 hear me.
Take your grades serious.
Choose who you hang around wisely.
Protect your name. Word spreads fast if you a crash out.
Respect authority. Nobody riding for you like your parents and coaches.
Work hard when nobody clapping.
Do not wait until senior year to lock in. That GPA do not lie.
I’m still figuring it out myself. I’m struggling but I know God got me.
Be intentional.
Lock in early. Pray. Show up ready to work.
I’m learning the hard way that my future is being built in the small decisions I make today.
Start now.

INTENTION changes everything!
Two athletes. Same starting point. Same exact program.
But one keeps improving… and the other stays stuck.
Why?
Athlete A is just going through the motions. Showing up because they have to. Checking the box.
Athlete B shows UP. Every rep has purpose. Every drill has focus. Every session has effort behind it.
That’s the difference between average and elite.
If you want to become an elite athlete, don’t just be present; be intentional. Work hard. Compete. Show up with purpose.
This post put together by performwithpete needs to be seen by as many athletes and coaches as possible! Amazing visual and an important lesson on how to maximize every training session. Over a thousand training sessions INTENT becomes the difference between success and knowing you could have been more!

Think of stiffness as both;
a material quality
and a system behavior
The question is are you driving the outcomes and durability needed?
Ken Vick@CoachKenVick
“How stiff is the athlete?” is the wrong question. Ask: what stiffness behavior are they expressing, what context, & can they switch gears? Springs when the sport rewards bounce. Shocks when it demands braking. Watch the signals: outputs, tissue trends, movement strategy.

Shrine Bowl Player Spotlight: Henry Hecox of Moundridge High School is making history this week as the first Moundridge player selected to the Shrine Bowl since 1973 (Brian Kaufman and Al Neufeld). The 6’2”, 200-pound LB/QB will suit up for the West Side All-Stars wearing #20 on Saturday in Dodge City. Hecox was a two-way standout in 2024, throwing for 1,318 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 57 total tackles and an interception on defense. He was named SIK First-Team All-State Linebacker and also earned First-Team All-State honors in basketball and track, where he won a state title in javelin. “I’m very excited to represent Moundridge High School one last time by playing in this Shrine Bowl!” Hecox said. His favorite high school sports memories are hitting the game-winning shot in the 2023 state basketball semifinals en route to a championship win and winning the state javelin title this spring. #sportsinkansas
