@Raiderswmarcos Check out YouTube videos where he’s holding court teaching other coaches on run game concepts & coaching young QB’s at a camp. I think he’s articulate. I don’t think he lost locker room, team had like 4-5 close losses early and fought back to get to 6-7 but Tua hurt them.

It sure is sounding like Mike McDaniel really wants the #Raiders job. He backed out of Browns and Bills gigs and now the only other opening he’s being considered for is Vegas I’m honestly on the fence about him as the hire. On one hand, it’s not a question of can he call plays. McDaniel is one of the league’s best playcallers. I can only imagine he would have a heyday working with Bowers and Jeanty, which is honestly why he probably wants the job On the other hand, I highly question his leadership qualities. He lost that Dolphins locker room last year and he never really seemed to be able to navigate them through big moments (Dolphins playoff game vs Bills in his first year for instance) and he is known not to be very articulate. I worry that in a rebuild situation like ours, he’d want to he everyone’s friend as opposed to a straightforward leader. We need really strong leadership imo. McDaniel’s staffing choices are also hit and miss. I have to see what he does there to feel better about him as a candidate too. I think Raiders should continue to wait it out but it sure does feel good to be wanted, especially by an offensive minded coach
