Imagine casually reading your boyfriend's script, and finding out you just got cast by Christopher Nolan. Tom Holland: I could never express how grateful I am to Chris for giving me that opportunity to give Zendaya that information. The drive home for me was so exciting, I was just buzzing. When I came in the door, she was so excited to hear about how the meeting went. Robert Pattinson: Oh, so he told you on your first meeting? Oh, wow. Tom Holland: Yeah. We had read the script together the night before, which I don't think I should've really told people because I don't know if I'm supposed to do that. At my meeting, Chris asked, "Would you be offended if I asked Zendaya to play Athena?" I'm like, "Why would I be offended?" Robert Pattinson: "You know what? Forget the whole thing." Tom Holland: Yeah, "I don't want to do it anymore! It's me or no one!" Tom Holland: I told him she would love to and asked, "Do you want me to tell her?" He said, "Yeah." When I got home, I told her, "Just trust me, you should read the script again, but read Athena really closely." And the little corners of her mouth just went up. Robert Pattinson: Yes!
