Our middle school Science Olympiad team had a fantastic day at the 2026 Central Florida Science Olympiad Regional Competition on Saturday! The team earned awards in 14 categories and placed 3rd overall, earning a bid to the state competition in April!

The OGA Speech and Debate team went virtual on 2/28, participating in the FCDI Online Qualifier C. Awaiting medals in the mail, stay tuned for our next post for results!

During the month of February, Advanced Academics/FBLA classes have been busy making a real-world impact! All six classes recently teamed up at the Second Harvest Food Bank, where the students worked together to pack an incredible 987 family boxes! Way to go Owls.

On February 12th, 11 Advanced Academics/FBLA members visited The Summit Assisted Living in Winter Garden to deliver 120 handmade Valentine’s cards and flowers to the residents. It was a heartwarming service project that brought plenty of smiles to our neighbors.

Eliza W. (4th grade) and Kiyomi C. (5th grade) sang in the OCPS Elementary All-County Concert last night. They attended many rehearsals to prepare for this. Way to go, Owls!

The following students will have artwork on display in the Art in Our Schools Exhibit at the RBELC! 3rd grade- Daniel R. 3rd grade- Elizabeth S. 5th grade- Zoey N. 6th grade- Daisy D.

OGA continues to succeed at these tournaments. FCDI #3 was held at Daytona State College on 2/21/26. 12 students competed in 4 rounds of various events, with 4 parent judges supporting also.

Medals came in the mail from FCDI Online B tournament on 1/31/26. Here are the winners! We are always in need of volunteer judges. Please reach out to Karen Ronquillo if you can give your time.

A special thank you to the PTSA volunteers who made Field Day such a success on Friday. The students had a great time.
